1 cm down 9 cm to go
According to my OB Dr Ward, Lucas is head down and in position now as she felt the sutures of his skull yesterday. I am 1 cm dilated which I realize I can be at for weeks and weeks so I'm not getting too excited. However 1 cm is better than no cm, only 9 to go now. 27 days and counting but my mom went two weeks late with both of my brothers so I am not getting too excited about counting down yet either. Dr Ward thinks he is about 5.5 lbs now and if I go to term, he should be about 8 lbs which was the size I was. Lots of things up in the air but this I do know. He can't stay in forever and every day that passes is another closer to meeting my son. Come, Lucas, we are all waiting for you!

Don't minimize the 1 cm...each one you get pain free is a gift to celebrate!
You know, my OBs haven't done a single internal exam since early in my pregnancy. I guess having that scheduled c-section spares one of certain things.
I'm so excited for you, Katie, and can't wait to see pictures of your precious baby boy when he arrives.
