bug's love affair with his phone

Lucas loves his phone. This is his 4th old cell phone. He has two identical phones and loves to pretend to text. He also is a big fan of dialing a number and hearing the recorded Verizon lady talking to him. He thinks it is hilarious. these days a phone, snuzzle, milk and some goldfish is all this little bug needs to be happy

Today we ran the West Liberty 5K Fun Run. It was actually 3.25 miles and it was super super hot and humid. Oh it was humid. All of our times were slow because of the extra distance and humidity but we all went home with medals.

Susie- Bill's sister- got 1st in her age group!!

I got 3rd in my age group
Bill got 2nd in his age group-- he is really happy...just on the inside.

it was a great morning. lucas did wonderful at home and we are thankful our babysitter agreed to come over at 615 am!

all that before naptime this morning no wonder he went down so well. he was tired! yesterday was the first time he pulled up unprompted by me and without some help/spotting. he is learning to 'let go' and fall softer which is good. he got a fat lip from a hard release last week at day care. i can't believe how big he is getting.
