Cris and her husband Fabio started going to our church a few months ago. We quickly met being both well in our end stage pregnancies and bonded over our bellies. We were due right around the same time. Turns out we had our sons, Eric and Lucas, the same day. I was in my hospital room when the nurse was giving me some pain medication. I noticed on her sheet that the other patient she was taking care of was Cris and she was right next door. So Lucas and I walked next door to visit and meet our friend Eric. Lucas was born at 1:09 am and Eric was born by C section same day just in the afternoon. So we are bonded, boys born on 4/29/09. Today after church we went out to lunch with our husbands and babies and took this 'after' shot. The first picture was taken on Easter. I was HUGE. Eric was actually bigger than Lucas by a few ounces at birth and now a bit longer but I think Lucas is a little heavier. It has been great to be going through this with someone whose son is the exact same age. We are both anxiously awaiting for our 6 week mark on Wednesday because everyone says life gets better after 6 weeks.

Katie! That's so fun! Do you know that Una and Titus Weikal were two other Vineyard babies born on the same day in 2002? It definitely made for some easy built-in friendships between mom and mom and baby and baby. Love you!
